WRP, a Miya Group Company, prepared a water demand management strategy for Indore and which included training for a local consultant in India (TERI) and development of similar strategies for the other three cities in the Madhya Pradesh Region. After completion of the reports training exercises were arranged to discuss the WDM recommendations in each of the four cities.
The strategy provided useful recommendations on how the Indore Municipal Corporation can implement WDM and thereby improve the operation of the whole system. The study also focussed on training a local consultant with the preparation of similar water demand management strategies for the other three large cities in Madhya Pradesh (Jabalpur, Gwalior, Bhopal).
After the four WDM strategies were completed training exercises for municipal staff were arranged in each city.
