In association with ACG Technologies, Veritec, a Miya Group Company, was retained by the Region of Peel to inspect and maintain a total 14 permanent sanitary sewer flow monitoring sites on existing trunk sewers ranging in size from 900 mm to 1500 mm. The project involved the testing and calibrating of the Marsh-McBirney Flo-Dar systems and ensuring data transfer to the SCADA system.
Veritec also provides Peel with on-call servicing should any of the sites stop reporting data. The project was recently extended to include the monthly download and verification of sites as part of a system-wide I&I study.
To date, the flow sites have been maintained and calibrated in accordance with the scope of work. In addition, data anomalies have been reported and investigated with corrective actions taken to ensure data transfer is as accurate as possible.
