From 2009 to 2014, Miya implemented a comprehensive NRW management program, or water audit, which included applying management methodologies and NRW strategies to reduce both commercial and physical losses. Thanks to Miya’s performance, NRW reduced from 63% to 34%; over 2.5 million people were connected to the water distribution system and achieved 24/7 water service.
